Luckenbooth: An Anthology Of Edinburgh Poetry
Edinburgh is a city that speaks straight to the heart, and its
vibrancy and beauty, its closes and its graceful streets have
always begged a response from writers. Lizzie MacGregor, Assistant
Librarian and a devoted admirer of the city and its poetry, edited
this collection of old and new Edinburgh poems.

Explore
the magazines
The Scottish Poetry Library's collection of literary
magazines, or 'little magazines' as they are affectionately often known,
is a great resource for both readers and writers. With over 70 current
titles coming in, the periodicals shelves are the place to see who and
what is getting published in today's poetry world. And if you are an
aspiring poet, they are a must browse!
In fact, it's so useful to poets to have contact editorial addresses
that you'll find a list in our Poetry
Boxes, showing a selection of the magazines we hold that consider
submissions of poetry.
We try to cover all titles produced in Scotland, and also collect
from the rest of the UK, and from Europe. You can buy some of the
magazines here too - we stock about fifteen of the titles for sale.
The collection also reaches back to the earlier part of the 20th
century, covering some of the original publications of the Scottish
Renaissance. Go to
Periodicals
A-Z to see the full list of current titles taken by the Scottish
Poetry Library, or search the unique Scottish
Poetry Index, which provides access to the wealth of poetry
and related material published in selected magazine titles in Scotland
from the 1950s to the present.
