Reading room
The doors of the Scottish Poetry Library's home in Edinburgh
are open all year round. We have thirteen collections in venues round
Scotland, and readers and friends all over the world.

But what if you can't visit? Or what if you only have odd moments in
which to read? And what if you just want some poetry suggestions for your
booklist? Come to the Reading Room,
and our parent website at www.spl.org.uk,
where we're opening the virtual doors to answers, recommendations and
a growing community of readers.
Search
the online catalogue, discover new poets, come for a poem you can read
in five minutes, or an online reading group that will encourage you to
spend comfortable hours reading and writing about poetry books.

Our funders
- The Reading Room,
along with our Poetry Boxes,
the Poet Partners scheme and Librarians' Training to help us work with
our colleagues at our outlying collections,
are funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Scottish Arts Council.
- Our Librarians' Training is based on the 'Poetry in the Branches'
model developed by Poets House New York.
